Vacherin Mont d’Or

Ingredients:

  • 1 round Vacherin Mont d”Or
  • 2 cloves garlic or equivalent
  • ½ c Dry white wine
  • Aluminum Foil

Preparation and Cooking:

Preheat your oven to 350°F

  • To avoid burning and spills, wrap the outside of the wooden box in aluminum foil
  • Pierce the top of the cheese and place garlic slivers in the holes
  • Pour the wine over the cheese
  • Bake until smooth and slightly runny (about 15 minutes)
  • Serve in the box and dip your choice of bread, crackers, veggies, sliced salami into the mixture and eat as you would a fondue
