Vacherin Fribourgeois Pairing

This cheese has been around for thousands of years and looks it! It’s outside rind can be quite gnarly and rough looking. The paste is firm with, mild, yet pronounced flavours and aromas. On the “white” side this cheese pairs perfectly with Muskateller Troken style wines, also try an Alsace Gewurztaminer or Pinot Gris. From a red wine perspective a Syrah/Shiraz, or a Chateauneuf-du-Pape would be something to try.
