Double Cream Cheese Sauce on Broccoli (or your favourite veggie)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 125 grams grated Double Cream Gouda
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg if desired)
  • Minced Jalapeno (to make this a Nacho Sauce!)

Preparation and Cooking:

  • Par boil Broccoli (or other veggie) to your desired firmness
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour
  • Cook for 1 min. until bubbling slightly
  • Remove from heat. Slowly stir in milk
  • Return to the heat, stirring until sauce comes to a boil and thickens
  • Stir in cheese until melted and sauce is smooth
  • Season to taste
  • Pour over Broccoli (it’s that easy!)
