Aunt Bev’s Cheese Biscuits
~ The story behind this one goes Bev got this from her mother who got it from her grandmother who got it from a friend who was much older than her! In other words an oldie but a goodie!
Makes 7 dozen so you may want to cut back on the ingredients or better yet bake them all and throw them in the freezer so they are ready when you are!
Ingredients:
1lb butter
3-4 cups flour
½ lb cheddar (the sharpest possible). Try the 3 or 5 year!
Preparation and cooking:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Grate and separate the cheese with a little of the flour
Then combine the ingredients like you would shortbread
Roll out as per cookie dough
Cut in desired shape and bake at 350 F for 22-25 minutes
(This is basically a shortbread recipe without the sugar but cheese added)
