Double Cream
Cheese Sauce on Broccoli (or your
favourite veggie)
Ingredients:
- 2 Tablespoons
butter
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 125 grams
grated Double Cream Gouda
- Seasoning
(salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg if desired)
- Minced
Jalapeno (to make this a Nacho Sauce!)
Preparation
and Cooking:
- Par boil
Broccoli (or other veggie) to your desired firmness
- Melt butter in
a saucepan, stir in flour
- Cook for 1
min. until bubbling slightly
- Remove from
heat. Slowly stir in milk
- Return to the
heat, stirring until sauce comes to a boil and thickens
- Stir in cheese
until melted and sauce is smooth
- Season to
taste
- Pour over
Broccoli (it’s that easy!)
