Appenzeller Pairing Suggestions
Summer is always nice time to enjoy a cool glass of Riesling and what better than to pair it with than Appenzeller. A traditional semi hard Swiss Mountain cheese explodes with bursts of complex flowery and milky flavours that will only be enhanced by the Reisling.
But I’m a red wine person you say, then stick to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or a Malbec, something with complexity and layers to avoid the cheese flattening or overrunning the wine.
