Mold

Mold

Have you ever wondered, when your cheese has mold on it, can you still eat it? Mold is a natural process which can occur if cheese is not properly packaged or rewrapped (remember to always use fresh wrap or the Cheese Bags I sell at the shop). Most molds that appear on cheese are harmless, but I suggest you avoid eating them. Assuming you haven’t left your cheese unattended for an extremely long period of time, you only need to cut around the mold (taking a little bit extra on each side of the moldly spot). If you catch it early in its development, scraping the mold off is all that is required. Be careful not to retransplant the mold you are removing. Once you have preformed the required surgery the remaining cheese is fine to eat.
