Fleur D’Aunis Chicken Melt
~Create this delicious treat using baked or BBQed chicken!
Ingredients:
5 Tbsp Jalapeno Apricot Spread (you can substitute Shitaki Mushroom Spread and both are personal favourites and available at the shop)
1 sourdough loaf with the top removed
2 full boneless cooked and sliced chicken breasts
1 cup arugula
300 grams Fleur D’Aunis sliced (you can substitute Oka and both types of cheese are available at the shop)
Preparation and Cooking:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Gouge centre out of sourdough loaf
Spoon the Apricot onto the inside bottom of the bread
Put the chicken, arugula and cheese in the cavity
Replace the top and wrap the entire loaf in foil
Place on baking sheet and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes
Unwrap and cut into sandwich slices
Serve with a light red or white wine
