Wild Blueberry Gruyere & Ham Sliders

Wild Blueberry Gruyere & Ham Sliders
~ I adapted this recipe from one I found while browsing online.
Serves 3-4 people as a main course and 5-6 as a side dish or appetizer.

Excellent for lunch, as an appetizer or dinner!

Ingredients:
6 small dinner roll or buns
3 tablespoons of Wild Blue Berry Fruit Spread (available at the shop)
100 grams thinly sliced Black Forest Ham
100-200 grams of thinly sliced Gruyere cheese (of course available at the shop)
(you can substitute the Gruyere with Danish Fontina, Famers Gouda or Weisbier, that are also available at the shop)

Preparation and Cooking:
Preheat the broiler.

Cut the buns in half horizontally.

Place the buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet and broil 2-3 minutes, lightly toasted. Keep a close eye on them so not to make them overly crisp!

Divide and spread the Wild Blueberry Spread equally on the bottom portion of the buns.

Arrange the ham and gruyere on the bottom buns again distributing equally. If you have bought a little extra, this would be the perfect time to nibble on the ham and cheese!

Broil 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Replace the top buns and serve.

A little Arugula lettuce would be a welcome addition at the finish
